⟡ CD collection

i like to collect CDs in my spare time. think of CDs as anime figures of songs i really like instead of characters you're into, and you'll get why i like collecting these so much. points for media preservation too. despite not actually knowing how to play anything let alone sing, my entire world basically revolves around music... i'd like to believe i've managed to rack up a decent collection in the past 4-ish years and it definitely keeps growing, so i'd like to document that here!

if you're on this page at all, i'm guessing you've got to have some kind of nerdy interest in CDs, so i'll give you a short overview of my setup in terms of all things music — for baby's first hifi system i've got an old sony CMT-S20 home audio system i got off a second hand marketplace website for like 50 euros or something. if my folks are awake, i'm listening to CD rips or lossless flacs i got off OTOTOY on foobar2000 with the worst equalizers you've ever heard. for listening to stuff on the go i have completely foregone the streaming services (FUCK your subscription services) in favor of using my sony NW-S13 walkman. my go-to headphones are the sony WH-CH520 wireless headphones which are falling apart after ~4 years of daily use. will buy the same model again once they break for good. sony makes durable hardware, that's for sure... though, for wired headphones i've got the audio-technica ATH-S100 headphones. they're a bit tight but really nice quality especially considering i got these for like ten euros off cdjapan. i use these for dev audio engineering stuff too since my equalizer settings on the WH-CH520s are so heavy lolol
